General Considerations
•young dogs (1-7 years) and may be heritable in Siberian Husky and King Charles Cavalier Spaniels
•histology: eosinophilic and granulomatous inflammation
•location: lateral and ventral aspects of the tongue
•gross appearance: raised and ulcerated
•treatment: corticosteroids, surgical excision, or spontaneous regression
•recurrence is rare
