General Considerations
•intermuscular lipoma is usually located between the semitendinosus and semimembranosus muscles
•other sites include between the semitendinosus and biceps femoris muscles and under the sartorius muscle
•clinical signs: large and fluctuant to firm mass associated with caudal thigh musculature
•treatment: surgical extirpation with active or passive drainage
•complication: seroma formation
•prognosis: excellent
